Sight I See

i saw you out there in the street,
your smile as bright as ever.
it brought warmth to my soul,
ive waited for this moment forever.

i keep my distance away from you,
i savor the moment till we meet.
composing a message to give to you,
your loveliness the first thing i'll greet.

i think about the golden years,
how we would confess our fears.
smiling like there's no tomorrow,
just living on the time we borrow.

accompanied by your smaller self,
things have changed since we went our ways.
all of a sudden i stop myself,
its better off to see you another day.

you walk across the street,
the moment just seems too strange.
your happy in this phase of life,
and i dont want that to change. 

i watch you from a distance,
and enjoy the sight i see.
because in my heart i know,
you're better off forgetting me.
